I’ve never met Steve Jobs. Never talked to him online or offline. Never even heard him speak in person. Yet when I heard the news about his passing on my iPhone from Twitter Wednesday evening, it deeply resonated with me as if he was my best friend or a close relative.
It’s something I can’t even fully explain or comprehend. Jobs was way more than the CEO of a Fortune 500 tech company. It wasn’t just about the amazing, revolutionary Apple products that he built. In fact, that’s a small part of his overall legacy.
Instead, the real legacy he leaves behind for me (and so many others) is his bold approach to design, his captivating speeches and his unique philosophy and unrelenting passion for his work. He was an inspiration for so many people. Myself included.
